APPLICATION OF BUSINESS INTEGRATION CONCEPTS AND RE-ENGINEERING TO A TRANSPORT VIRTUAL COMPANY. DEVELOPMENT OF A SUPPORT SOFTWARE TOOL

Goals: A virtual transport company is a grouping of companies that not being able to set up in a permanent way a fix transport net from place to place among all the company destinations because of the high cost due to using the resources in low occupational level, they are obliged to work together through establishing co-operation agreements.

The present Research and Development project was raised within this context, with the aim of applying to the group CAVE Transport .( a virtual Company made up by more of 50 medium and small Business), the Business Integration and Re-Engineering concepts to (1) Design and Implant business process with a high quality, properly defining, the activities , information flow and associated equipment (2) to establish an Integrated Management System at all levels properly defined for the purpose of managing the virtual company

The most recent methodological proposals about business Integration , such as the Reference Architectures ARDIN; PERA; CIM-OSA, were used, adapted and applied during the project
